ABCD is a Central Okanagan-based incorporated non-profit society whose vision consists of a community where people with disabilities are supported to be full citizens.

ABCD supports people with disabilities and their families to strengthen their ability to access resources and create partnerships that assist them in sustaining full citizenship.

Central Okanagan Special Hockey

MISSION STATEMENT:

To give children with developmental delays an opportunity to play ice hockey in a supportive environment.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:

To enrich the lives of young athletes with a developmental disability by providing a safe and fun program that is adapted to the level of each athlete. To emphasize the development of life skills such as dependability, concentration, willingness to share and personal accountability. To provide the young athletes with an opportunity to experience the concept of being part of a “TEAM”. To provide ice time to any player age five or older, male or female, who is physically able to play, who would be unable to participate in any other organized program due to his or her developmental disability.
